Nobody Ever Talks About It

People say things like,
"I'd drink her bath water."
They ask,
"Will drinking vodka make your clothes fall off?"
People say,
"Just look at that rack,"
and
"I'd burn the fur off that."
They sometimes say,
"It's me and you. Sonny and Cher."
With flowers and bright
colors and whispers.
And then somebody says,
"I'd chew her toenails off."
And it's lost again.
